Your Support at Work: Kobe Paras Commits To UCLA

Kobe Paras (Cathedral High School) has committed to UCLA. With offers from 19 schools and growing, Paras felt with so many quality offers there was no need to secure more. Though only in his junior year, the early commitment locks Paras into the all-time leader in NCAA Championships across all sports and one of the top academic institutions in America.

“Kobe is now our second player this year to commit to a PAC-12 school,” Coach Middlebrooks expressed. “We are extremely excited that the quality of player our program is producing has resulted in more and more kids going on to high major NCAA Division 1 schools. Paras is a unique talent with an even more unique fan base for a high school aged student that became a sensation in the global Filipino community. He is an extremely hard-worker that strives to get better every day. I think the sky is the limit for Kobe if he continues to maintain his work ethic and humble spirit.”

College offers and interest for Paras included:

  • UT-Arlington
  • Portland State
  • UC-Irvine
  • Arizona State
  • Fresno State
  • UC-Santa Barbara
